Default Laggy Speedometer?

I'm not sure about this but when I accelerate from a stop I noticed that the speedometer moves up slow while the box speeds up fast. I don't know if its just the perception that it's a box or the speedometer is laggy. Or it just might be that I've never driven anything faster than an xB (except for a Evo VIII MR but I didn't have enough experience with a M/T so I was careful and slow).

The size of your rims may affect it....

Give it some time, it will get there

That doesn't seem quite right. Ummm, well, you DO have warranty. Go have the thing looked at. Or, if you have a GPS or something use that to gauge your actual speed against the speedo, er, better yet have your passenger do that while you drive...

I'm running Tein S-techs on stock steelies.

Now that I think about it, "laggy" is probably not the right word, "slow" sounds about the right kind of word. It's kind of like I feel like I'm going about 40 mph but the speedometer is around 30-35 (when I'm accelerating from stop).

Does it seem to "catch up", meaning, you're not speeding up, but the speedo is moving up? If not, it might be your imaginatiion. Otherwise, have the dealer re-calibrate it.

Actually, yea it does... I think that picture was taken from around me. I may be wrong but I'm seeing a Citgo gas station and next to it is the restaurant. Across the street from Citgo is the M&T Bank.

THE DON - I haven't tried that, I'll check it out the next time I go out.

The smaller the vehicle, the faster it seems like you're going, and remember that the xB is only 12 feet long.

Then again, you could have speedometer problems...
