leg room
Well there is definitely enough head and leg room. I was able to fit 5 guys in my xA with one of the guys being 6'4" (and he was in the back seat). With 3 in the back, the shoulder room is the limiting factor.
I am 6 foot and quite heavy, and my test drive with an xA was great with no problems. I might have wanted a slightly LOWER seat, so I could make better use of the rearview mirror and have better visibility, but that's all, there is plenty of leg and head room for the bigger people. Also, the xA is a small car, I also test drove a Mazda 6, which should be a mid-size sedan, but I could barely fit in it. So the xA has definitely more room than one would imagine.
Hello,
I'm 6'1" and 200lbs. I like the way the car feels. I do have the seat all the way back, and there isn't much room behind my seat. I can't imagine someone 6'4" sitting behind me. It would be *tight*. I really bought mine as a two seater. It's nice to have the backseat when I haul someone other that my GF and myself, which is very rare. I love the expressions on people faces when I crawl out of the car.
Cruise down to your dealer and slide the front seats to wherever makes you comfortable, and then crawl in the backseat and see for yourself. YMMV. If you're hauling kids, or supermodels, then no problems.

I'm another 6' guy about 240 and I had no problems. Although the seat was back all the way, yes all the way so there really wasn't any extra room available for me when I test drove it.
The bright side is I'm not growing anymore and the shifting was PERFECT. I like how they have the hard plastic foot rest because that's always a problem for manual vehicles.
The steering wheel was also in a very nice position even when it was all the way up. I didn't have to adjust it to get in or out of it which is a plus, I have to adjust it in my grand prix EVERYTIME I get in or out.
Did you guys notice that the front seats have a very stiff lower back area? I was hoping there was a lumbar adjustment but I didn't see one :/

At 6'6" and 250, I barely had enough room with the seat all the way back. It 'felt' tight, including the roofline which seemed close. The xB is awesome, lots more room in it. Unless you're spoiled on large town cars, the xA is fine for the average person space-wise. But like everyone will say, go sit in one to make sure. Then sit in the xB no matter what you think it looks like just to see the difference.
I am 6' 6" and 230 lbs. I have no problem with the steering wheel or pedals. As a matter of fact, I fit in this car a whole lot better than I do my full size lifted Bronco. Hence the signature.
