Default it looks like the old question... but I do need your advice.

spark plugs ---->

NGK or Denso?
platium or Irid?

Main goal:
All I want is to get a better mpg and get rid of the drone @ 3Krpm (if it would helps).

Second:
Keep the budget low.

I found that AdvanceAutoPartsOnline carries NGK Plat for $3 each and NGK Irid for $7 + shipping ($6). And dealer carries Denso Irid @ $15 each(this is way over budget although it claims Denso is 130K miles plug).

thanks for your input

I'm not sure if this applies to boxes, but on the Porsche
side where I come from, the platinums don't work as well
as quality standard copper core like the NGK coppers.
The Porsche guys have LOTS of data to prove this, but
again, that's on the P-Car, not sure if that holds true here.

replacing sparks can get rid of that 3k drone? really? dang i hope that's true.

on a side note though:
after replacing the intake with the dealer option AEM CAI, the drone is less noticeable. Before it was an annoying buzz like sound, now its deeper (so more bearable). If i got the music turned up to like volume 32+ or so i don't even notice it.

Lately the drone has gotten slightly louder (as evidenced by me having to turn the music up louder to drown it out), i surmise it has something to do with the cold weather.
