Default Meguiars or Mothers?

I am about to replenish my detailing supplies for my cars, which holds about a $150 price tag. I used Meguiars all last summer and was pretty happy with it. But I have been looking at Mothers products , and I am not sure which is better :?: . I would like to know your opinions on the two brands and which u think is the better system. Also has anyone tried out Meguiars NXT Wax??

I'd use Meguiars, but that's just me. From what i know, both are top notch brands for car products. :D

Personally, I would buy almost entirely all Meguiars, except for wheel polish, if you have aluminum wheels, I recomend Mother's. It is old school, same stuff that cleaned the older mag wheels. It works wonders. Not being a proffesional, I also have a collection of detailing equipment that rivals some of the "car washes" that are in town. Recently I had my shop cleaned and organized by a guy that does odd jobs; when I went to clean the Bimmer the other day I couldn't find my cleaning supplies. Needless to say, I was a little mad, till I moved a refrigerator and found them. I was so afraid I was going to have to go and replace all of my cleaning supplies I had amassed over a period of time, knowing it was going to cost a load of $$ to do it.

Eric.

I myself like the Meguiars products. I may go and get a bottle of their next stuff to try it out. I have used Mothers, but I think it is a little over-rated. In any case, you can't really go wrong with either one.

I always used Mothers for a long time it works great after I bought my XB I wanted to try Meguiars. I bought the Meguiars Gold and it was complete junk it was hard to put on and take off. It did not not leave much of a shine. I tried Wax Shop cleaner and it worked great and even took off those very fine haze scratches that you see on peoples cars. I now use Wax shop cleaner and their detailer products.

I have a cabinet full of Meguiar bottles. To be fair, I've never tried Mothers and don't feel the need to.

I don't know which is better, but I use Mother's carnauba wax and like it. The only kicker about using a carnauba wax is that the paint better be clean before you use it, because carnauba wax has no cleaning additives. It's strictly wax. It's easy to wipe on and off and seems to protect the paint pretty well too. fwiw...
