Default Mods under $100 for the poor college student, please!

Well, I'm due to recieve my RS 3.0 xB in mid- to late-March. (The only thing other than the base package that I'm getting is floormats.) I'll be graduating in a little over a year, and will do the more expensive stuff, like wheels and such, after getting a real job. As for now, I'm wanting to do some little DIY mods, but my list so far of what I'll be able to afford is kind of short. Thus, I'm asking you all to contribute some of your favorite mods that you've done for under $100. My planned list so far is:

1. candying the tail lights
2. green xenon headlight bulbs

I will also mention that I'm a newbie to doing mods (other than changing out a few head units and speakers in my 1991 Buick Skylark), so keep in mind that if you mention something difficult, that I may ask "How do I do that?"

Also, if you live within 75 miles or so of Johnson City, TN, and have any used mods (tail lights, etc.) for sale, PM me.

Thanks!

TygerD

No, seriously, though, there is a lot you can do WITH a hundred bucks, that you and your passies can appreciate withour looking under the hood.

here's a sample shopping list
ichibahn aluminum pedals - 25
OBX shift **** - $35
5-panel WINK mirror - $25
WINK mounts 2@$5
2 taco bell chalupas - $5
-------------------------
$100

I know there's a ton of ***** out there, but I think the OBX fatboy is worth it - probably one of the few that don't scream 'I shop at autozone/walmart'. The ichibahn pedals are better than just pedal covers, you actually remove the rubber, and attach a mounting plate to the metal. The wink mirror, well, I love it, and you don't see it very often. I noticed right off the bat that the stock rearview, mounted right near the bay window, is so far away from me that I really couldn't see very well. The panoramic wink mirror gives me a great view out the back, and to the blind spots. here's what it looks like coming up on the passenger side:

What's wrong with sticker tuning you car?!?! Stickers make it go faster. The color yellow also makes it very fast. Yellow stickers are the best of both worlds.

Luckly, i was able to get a good start before going to college. Still might save to do one more bigger thing before college..

Heres some stuff i would look into if i were you:

Tanabe DF210 springs - $160+
Light Weight Crank Pulley - $110+ (perrin, zpi, ect)
Trim Rings - $45 shipped at most (will look better than stock hubcaps, and will get you by when you can't afford rims)
Clear the corners of headlights - free
Debadge rear door - free
bB front grill emblem - $20 or less shipped
CAI or SRI - $130+ (don't do ebay $20 ones, thats too cheap to be good)

I agree a lot with Killerxromances mods. Get something for your car that will make a noticable difference in some way. Dont waste your money on OBX shiftknob... instead spend 120 on a TRD quickshift... you get a TRD shiftknob with that AND it will be a lot of fun and your car would be a little faster (less momentum lost).
Perrin Crank... great idea
Lowering Springs... great idea
CAI... great idea
High Flow Muffler... great idea

Stickers, Exhaust Tip, and Pedal?? You have to be kidding me. Stickers are trashy but if you wanted them they come with pretty much any mod you buy for free...
Exhaust Tip... Scions already have a chrome exhaust tip stock. If you get a axle-back or strup muffler (79bucks) later on (which u prolly will want to) this would be an utter waste.
Pedals... um, well... 'nuff said there, lol and i think 98% of scionlife can agree that its not an essential or meaningful mod.

Just my 2 cents... I dont want you to waste the limited cash you got, cuz I am a college student too and $ is tight.

Good luck buddy, let us know what you plan to do with the cash.

How far are you from the Alabama border?! You might want to spend some cash travelling to some Scion meets!!! AL Team ScioNRG will be happy to help you!!

I love cheesy promos!

Seriously though. All of the aforementioned mods are cheap and fun to do!
