Thanks for the comments, everyone!

I wanted to do the spoiler too, but I think that I would have to sculpt one from scratch out of styrene or balsa. Hmm, <thinks out loud> sculpt from clay, make a mold, then fiberglass layup, prime/paint...<NM!>

Maybe in the future, I can still add it!

Started out "just paint it PW", then decided to "tint the windows", then came "black out the side window moldings/rubber", then "silver the side view mirrors and exhaust tip", then "Oooh, a FFF and license plates"...just keeps going and going.

Turned out fair, there are so many more details still left I can do. Cheap thrills for $3.99 + a little spare time.

I was able to find a PW xB at a Walgreens here. I didn't think about making little license plates for it to match mine. Nice job. I also have PW and EG Chub City xB's in about 1/32 .

I got lucky during my last trip out and found the full set of 6 colors but they were all xBs. I also got a silver one to be made BCP for a set of 7.

Well done bB2NER!
Glad to see that they are still out there. I went by a CVS today, they had the rack, but no xB/bBs. Post pics of your finished BCP
Hey all, slightly OT, but is a Hot Wheels X-Racers xB in a clear olive green color rare? I saw one in a multi pack today. I have seen the red ones before.

How many cars in the multi pack. The clear body Hot Wheels are known as X-racers. The latest one I have seen was grey with American flag graphics. How many cars were in the multi pack? Where did you see this?

I must have it!

Oh, and I found another addition to my collection. Today at Target - Purple 1/24 scale. Has a wireless remote, black hood, crappy sticker graphics, alarm action, and forward motion. Time for some modding!

there are 5 color variations for the hotwheels x-raycers (so far)
and one wheel variant
all are clear colors w/removable bodies
red, blue. grey/smoke,
orange (giveaway never packaged)
and one dealer hand out prototype in pink/flesh-tone
I'm still missing that one
all have same wheels except a red version w/gold rims
and "faster than ever wheels" kinda like matchbox ones w/superfast wheels
if its not a TJ ill post pics

Ok there is a new x-raycer on the way. It will be a "Mystery Car", so keep an eye out for 2008 Mystery cars it will be in there sooner or later. I do not know what color it will be yet.

In other news... I found three more 1/32 scale xBs today at a Rite Aid. Silver, Red, and yellow.

hotweelz4me, I saw the multi pack with the smoke color x-raycer at Toys-R-Us for $3.99. Not toooo bad since you probably toss the other 4 cars!

BTW, what is a "mystery car" one of those ones that are not visible until you open the package? Like a grab bag kind of thing?

I dont toss the whole car. I keep the wheels if they are cool for future modding. I just finished a two-tone Matchbox today. Black and white, big gold wheels, and two surf boards mounted to the roof.

And yes the "Mystery Cars" are the black blister packs.

lol! You dont, that is the whole point of the Mystery car. There will be 24 cars in the 2008 series. Alot of collectors buy, then trade or sell double finds. Lately some jerks have been opening all the Mystery cars in the store looking for specific castings. This is probably good for the non-colector.

There is a code on the back of the package, but it has no significance. Hot Wheels said they would release a code translator on the web site in mid 2007 for the 07 series, but it never happened. So I highly doubt it will happen for 08. Just keep an eye out for already opened ones on the shelf or a new color on the ebay listings.
