Default My baby's first bruise...

The other night I was driving home on the winding roads through the hills. A pick up truck merged in front of me hella fast and next thing I see, a 5 gallon bucket, along with other stuff inside the bucket, comes flying out of the back of the truck. I braked immediatly but it was too late, the bucket hit my right side and the stuff was was inside flew to my left side of the bumper. This f*cker knew what was going on so he speeds up and takes off. I wasn't going to let that happen because I knew that sh*t left a mark. So at 1am on the winding roads with no street lights I'm driving 90 miles per hour trying to catch this guy close enough to read his license plate. I wrote it down on my palm, the back of my hand and on my registration...all while I'm driving 90 mph.

The next day I see a few nasty scratches on the bumper. Thank god for no dents. I went to the police station and they said that the license plate was not valid.
I was soooo ____ed. Not only because of my bruised baby but because I'm driving in a 40 curved zone so fast I could have risked my life. But it was worth it.

Now I feel like my new born baby had it's first cut on it's finger.

Man that sucks. You should've trailed his stupid a s s and tell him to pull over. Have you inquired your insurance bout this? Sorry about what happened.. it could've been worse.

It's like I always say "people suck" Too bad the cops couldn't help you. I don't know about the whole tailing them and having them pull over that can be dangerous these days especially for an 18 yr old woman (no offense Ozzy). You just never know anymore. Hopefully it all works out for you. I know how it feels, I had a 6mnth old suburban that within a week someone hit the drivers side door with a grocery cart and scratched it all up. So yeah I know how bad it sucks.

no offense taken at all!

that's exactly why i didn't tail him, it was 1am in the middle of the woods,

i did contact my insurance, only need to pay the $100 deductible, which i don't deserve to pay.

man, that's not cool, but it definitely could have been worse than that, who knows what that guy could've been into though...I know I'd be ticked enough to follow him but it would really suck to have followed him and get into something you're not ready for.

The sad thing is that the police probably lied to you about the tags being invalid.

They can't be bothered. Its a token answer nationwide.

I have had 2 similar experiences in the past 15 years and the cops basicly told me that they are not going to pursue the issue.
