Default My experiment

I need opinions on this idea.

I was planning to put a small magnetic bumper sticker on my xB which would say something like...

"Have you seen me? xxxxx@xxxxx.com"

Then I'd sit back and wait for the e-mails to pour in.

Emails pouring in? You mean of course the ones you'd like to get, since you're billboarding your email address to everyone?

Let's see: mortgages, Viagra, marital aids, bankruptcy info, Nigerian estate claims for millions of dollars, etc.

I dunno about that.

Even if it's just a throwaway e-mail, if some hacker decided
he didn't like your xB, he could easily just access mostly anything
just by knowing one of your e-mails.

I doubt it would actually happen, but you never know. I suppose
it's your choice if you want to do something like that.

I think it would be funny to hear some of the responses you get... but might get some freaky ones too.
Just make sure to open your email with a fake identity, don't open attachements, and turn off the option to
receive html based email and graphics. Should be safe from hackers.

Prodigy used to do that years ago. I think AOL may have tried it too.
