My XB should be in soon. How to keep bugs off?

I ordered the Le Bra for mine. It catches a lot of stuff but what a piece of junk. the top flaps. I fix it and the next day it starts again. I'll be getting the colgan soon.
The Colgan is very well made. costs more than Le Bra. The "carbon fiber" is the coolest one. Looks great on a PW. The original has the deflector built in. Doesn't get em all, but close. Had mine @ 100mph- no flutter!

If you haven't seen the Colgan on an xB I have a picture in my profile with it on the car. There are several others on this forum with pics of the Colgan installed also.
For me personally there's no disadvantages to the Colgan - but that's me.
Hope this helps.
Well, I finally got the xB and the bugs are CRAZY.. Unfortunatly, I already have a couple rock chips.
Tell me if my thinking is right though:
The colgan bra would be a BETTER option because its thicker than the 3M. Since the 3M is basically just a film covering, if I rock its it, its not going to absorb the impact as much as the bra would. I think the 3M would be good to keep bugs off, but if a rock hits it hard enough, it'll just go straight to the paint. Atleast with the Colgan, it has some padding to help absorbe the shock.
I realize I'll have to take it off once in a while to clean under it, which isnt a problem. My main problem is during the winter time, I dont want to salt to kick up and chip the whole front end.
