I'm assuming that's per month. You're young, male and unmarried and not in the military. a) You can go under your parents policy b) get married, join the military c) ride a motorcycle d) suck it up... Ps. better check with your lender to find out "exactly" what they require (coverage and what deductibles)... good luck to you...

Yeah, get your parent to add you to their policy. Then get your own when you turn about 25.

Don;t forget to tell the parents that they'll probably get a discount with the added car.

I agree try to get on with your parents, you will end up cheaper that way. Otherwise you will be stuck paying a rate similar to that one regardless of who you go with for the reasons em-de-em said.

As others i assume that's per month........! I pay about 485 a year for mine but i'm an old guy with no accidents or Tickets.........No claims ect. I thought i was getting it cheap.

It's your age for the most part......Your a bad risk !! Well in their eyes that is ! Shop an save.....Maybe the mom and dad idea is a good one ..........

But i give you credit at least your thinking ahead and looking at all the cost......not just getting it and then not being able to pay for it.

I am right around $500 a year with State Farm.
But then again I am older,And having a 20 Y/O daughter added to my policy mine and my wifes both went up from before she started to drive. But I think she pays about $1200 a year for her 04 Colorado.

Get Lojack and insurance companies will give you a discount.

You can also get a discount if you live in a "safe" neighborhood. So if you have relative that live in other cities near you, get a quote using their address too.

(Disclaimer: Im not a lawyer and I cant take any resposibility if this is a fraudulent act )

About $60/month for comp/collision/uninsured motorist with a $100 to $200 deductable for most things.

I'm an old fart with my last ticket in about '78 and no accidents in over a decade - and no 'at fault' accidents.

Company is Hartford. My location is suburban.
