I purchased my 2004 xA on 7/11/ 05 with the odometer reading 31,200 miles. I thought the milage was high, but the car was immaculate so I bought it.

Here's what the Carfax showed for milage on record:

4/9/04 ....... 10 miles
4/11/05 ....... 12,019

I purhased it 7/11/05 with 31,200 miles on it.

How is it possible to accumulate nearly 20,000 miles in 90 days? It was a local car is looks and drives mint.... Could the odometer have a problem?

I dunno. That means a full tank of gas every business day for that entire period of time.
20k divided over 60 days... 333.3infinity

Maybe the odometer wasn't reported correctly? Maybe the odometer has been swapped. That's kind of weird.
