Polar White

Tail Light upgrade < Buy later cheaper
B pillar applique < Buy later cheaper
Fog lights < Don't work very well, mostly cosmetic but can get later cheaper
Scion security < Heard it is a good system. This might be good to get now
Center Armrest < See if you can find a car with it to see if it's right for you.
Door sill enhancement < Buy later cheaper
Floor and Cargo mats < Buy later cheaper unless you like "SCION" embroidered
Stock Pioneer Head unit < It's stock, already included
6 spoke wheel covers < Stock, already included

2.Which of these have to be installed by me? I'm very confused because the dealer said the price on the site includes installation, but the site says that the prices vary by dealership.....also have seen that people on this forum have been screwed with insallation fees.... Many things can be done by you with very little experience. There are plenty of people on this site that can help guide you and maybe people in your area that can help.

3.Any of these features I picked silly and not needed? Personally I think the door sill enhancements are but it's your car. You have to make it yours.

4.Any features ya'll recommend that I didnt include? Keep reading the boards and you'll find plenty of modifications and upgrades to choose from.

5.The molded dash...does anyone have pictures of xb's with and w/out it? The all come with a molded dash. It's not an option.

....Then on to my next sets of questions.

Talk to your bank for advice and talk with the dealer. Get as much information as possible before you start the process.

I purchased a used manual 2004 w/16,000 miles for $12,800. (Unheard of, they are usually more expensive than new.) I had to drive 800 miles to pick it up, but that was a fun road trip too! My decision to purchase used was that I was able to pay cash for used....(or have a car payment with new.) He had a lot of options on it that I would have skipped with a new car, such as:
fog lights, rims, interior lights, leather steering wheel, alarm system, sport pedals, door sill enhancements, front strut tie bar, scion floor mats and cargo net. And it was in mint condition.
Anyone would want a NEW car....but I am so pleased with my "used" car.
I would have definately considered this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scion...spagenameZWDVW

Those on your list that I plan to get are:
Fog lights, OEM from Scion Warehouse, $193.
Center armrest w/ storage, Zeta from Precision, $189 (the OEM one is poor).
Door sill enhancement, ACSO from Scion Warehouse, $77.
Floor mats, OEM from Scion Warehouse, $45 (does not include cargo mat).
Cargo liner, OEM from Scion Warehouse, $70.
6 spoke wheel covers, OEM, should be provided by dealer as part of car.

I would recommend also:
Softer rear shocks, Monroe SensaTrac #5987 from local NAPA etc, $70/set.
Rear bumper applique, OEM from Scion Warehouse, $35.
Touch-up paint, OEM from Brandsport, $10.

Buy my BCP used for 12K (04 38k) 5sp.

But, if you get a new, don't get any dealer installed options. They rape you for sure. Where are you from?

New is the best way to go. If you buy used you'll never know for sure how it was broken in and wether or not it was driven hard. Why chance it for such a small increase in price???
