i'm talking real cheap here.

what could i get to add to my xB, to add some custom look to it?

something that i could do myself, or with one other person.

 

Some kind of price range would help tremendously.

pin stripes = $?, but not expensive
wheel cover = under your limit
scratches = FREE

 

For that price range you could do some graphics for the exterior or some LEDs or cold cathodes for the interior.

 

Or a custom speedo face by the legendary chadfo. ^^

I did Fuzzy dice, pedal pads, and a plate frame for around $30.

Cup holder lights came in at about $20

And cold cathodes for under the dash and seats were around $25

Prices do not include Gas, Labor, and Shop supplies. You can do a lot with a little money if you are willing to take the time and look for the parts. I am thinking of doing under car and under hood illuminition now and that should run me about $25 for the under hood, and about $75 for the under car using Cold Cathodes.

I vote for the LED's. You can literally install as many as you want for next to nothing (if your doing your own work). LED the AC controls or LED the cupholder. VERY cheap to do.

I did a lot of DIY mods that were really cheap:

LEDs in the air vents, speaker grills, and cupholders - about $10
Blacked out headlights, cleared corners, changed the turn indicator bulb color - about $20
Interior painting - Did all mine for about $15
Change all your wire conduits for a different color - less than $15
Make your own speedo! Mine was free cause I went to my parent's house to use their photo paper and printer ink!
Paint your brakes - less than $10

the LED's seem like they would be cool.
i wish the xB had more than one interior light, an LED in there would be cool.

 

There was a member who installed a second factory dome light in the rear of the xB, as a cargo area light. It looked like it should have came stock that way, not sure if that topic is still around any more though.
