New car added to the stable
Well, I sold my gas guzzling truck and bought a new 2012 Prius v wagon this week to keep my RS3 company in the garage. Now I get good mileage regardless of which vehicle I choose to drive.
The Prius is an amazing ride. 150 miles into my first tank and the on board computer is showing 55 mpg. According to the Prius forums the computer is usually about 10% optimistic, so in reality I'm probably looking at 50.
I'm going to enjoy this.
On a side note, I carpool to work with my brother. It's about a 50/50 mix of highway and city driving, 35 miles round trip. I'm getting a consistent 35-36 mpg in the RS3 with 3 people in the car. That's an average of the last 3 tanks. No hypermiling tricks, just good sound driving techniques.
Anyways, just wanted to share.
