Default Nicknames for the RS1

My friends have new nicknames for my Rs.

My one friend calls it the Ladybug. It is a ___ ___ name, he could have thought of something better.

Then we were about to drive off somewhere, and I insist on driving every where since i have the new RS. and my other friend says that he is driving his own car. So i asked him why, and he said "because i dont want to drive in a car that looks like a supository."

I LOVE MY FRIENDS haha

You need to remind your friend he is not going to drive in the RS, he is just a passenger. He can ride or he can walk … his choice.

Don't let someone dis' your ride. I am sure the other RS owners would agree with me, it's a joy to own one and a privilege to ride in one.

i agree 100% I wouldn't have it any other way though. These are my friends, i love them to death. I was just looking to see anyone had any good ones that they have recieve.

Trust me my friend, no one ever gets away with anything like that. My friend still has to borrow his moms car and he is 21 years old. it is just far too easy to get on him anymore then I already have. I am well aware of his jealousy. I have full out SCION pride. If i see one in a parking lot I park right next to it. gotta have that family Love.

What I like about the xA is that I can reach the passenger side door, open and push the door out and tell the passenger to "Get the fuggout" while ejecting their seat belt

I've been a 300ZX TwinTurbo owner for almost 10 years. Reciently, I've gotten engaged and have been looking for a car for my future wife, and something that has more utility use, but yet is cheap.

The xA was perfect, plus it's cute, and like other Taiwanese women, she likes cute things.

Also, to give a little more background, I'm a hard core racing nut. I don't just watch it, but I race myself. I could talk racing for hours and hours and am always trying to get my buddies to take their cars out on the track with me. I've driven probably over 20 track events, competed in some events, and have been organizing/teaching driving schools at the race track for 4+ years now too.

I've always been one of those guys that, if it don't help me stop better, handle better, go faster, it ain't going on the car. I don't even use the radio in it when I drive and never run the A/C because I can fell the bog on the engine and have contimplating pulling both.

Anyways,

Man, when I got the Scion, all my Z buddies were like "WWHHHAAAAATTTT?!?!?!?!?" "What the hell are YYOOOUU doing getting a SCION!?!?!?" "Why didn't you get a WRX, EVO, 350Z, or something else?" "My kids could run faster than that thing!", "No, my GRANDMOTHER could run faster than that thing!"

I tell you, not a day goes by that when I see my buddies, they give me some sh*t. It's fine though, believe the sh*t get's thrown both ways among friends, and I know, although they won't admit it, they like the xA RS too.

But all honesty, if it wasn't for the girl, I would have rather spend the 14k on the Z and bump it from ~330rwhp to 400-450rwhp, with some bigger brakes, wheels/tires, and some left over for a couple track days. In the end though, I don't regret it, and like the xA a lot too. :D

if you look here, I'm going to try and embarres(sp) some of them at the track this Thursday too! http://www.clubz.org/track/form/display.asp
I'm well known in our circle to frequenly pull faster lap times than others with more brakes, more handling, more hp, or more driving experience. But honestly, in this Scion, I'm going to have my work cut out for me!!! A friend of ours that runs a shop, just 3 days ago, bought a R34 Skyline GTR (that was imported from Japan) and won't be taking his Z, but the GTR instead. I hope I don't run into him at the track!!

Well my wife also likes cute things, and the xA is perfect for her! Sure it doesn't have the power of the Z and WRX, but so what? Do they have that cute factor? The car is made in Japan and that's what my wife and I like the most. Besides, suspension and brakes are way more important than speed alone to me, which I will upgrade those for her within a month. Sure the car isn't fast, but with a bit upgrade it shall be more than adequate for daily driving. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that b/c I am jealous of others owning fast cars. In fact, my 2 cars are pretty fast and 1 is heavily modified. Some people like big and strong cars, whiile others prefer small and cute ones. It's just a matter of preference, and if someone cannot understand this concept, I guess they should get run over by cars like those poor squirrels on the road (lack of intelligence).

Btw, why a suppository? I am a pharmacist and see those all days, and I failed to see the relation in looks between the two? :\

Also, I would say our xA looks more like the Mini (on the side @ certain angle) way over than the VW Beetle...so lady bug doesn't really fit the description either :/

Just yesterday, I had a friend of mine tell me that the xA looks like a Mini Cooper on steriods! Actually, it was the same guy that bought the GTR. He liked it, along with his girlfriend. I started busting his chops that his girlfriend (who actually fronted the deposit for the GTR) was going to sell the GTR and get a Scion xA instead. Regardless of how much he liked the xA RS1, I'm sure you could guess his response. ; ) As much as I like my xA RS1, my response would have been the same in his shoes too!

Ha ha, I'm a pharmacist too and I didn't get it either.

I call my RS "tomato", dorky I know, but it stuck.

Sorry for the delayed reply to that. i have no idea. My friend comes up with the oddest things. I personally have no idea what a supository looks like, and i dont want to know either, haha. I guess since it is small and egg shaped. I have no idea. It was just funny in the situtaion.

I call my car "THE HOTNESS" .
