I was driving this morning and had my radio up pretty loud and the AC on and then all of the sudden a loud tapping noise was coming from what sounds like behind the stereo. I turned off my radio and AC and this did not help so I pulled to the side of the road and turned off the car and then back on and noise is gone. After about another 30 minutes of driving this time with radio on average the noise came again and after power cycling the car it stopped. Then this evening going somewhere again it happened and this time I did not turn off the car and it went for about 30 seconds then slowed down until gone. I have checked under the hood and nothing looks loose and it only occurs after driving for a little while. It is the craziest thing because it first occurred on a flat normal road, and before today I have never heard anything. Someone please help!

I had to laugh at that one, but on a serious note. Take it to the dealer and have them ride with you to see if they can figure it out.

I had the same issue when i installed my stereo. Droped somthing down the vent. Got lucky and it stoped. If it stops or variates with fan speed it could be somthing in the blower. Good luck getting it out.

sounds like something in your vents... did you do any work on your car? dropped a screw maybe? or a penny? or a part?
