OBX Fuel Rail

OBX Fuel Rail
I just finished installing a new OBX fuel rail on the box went to start it and I got fuel spurting out both ends of the rail and two injectors I thought the ends were tight and the injectors are seated properly but I think I need new o-rings and a bit of thread tape.

^yes.. most performance mods do that in exchange for what they do..

Thats a little scary about the fuel rail, you sure all the o rings were still there when you installed the injectors, or if the machining is off on the rail.. I would pull it , inspect and reinstall it, I pulled my oem one and put it back without issue.. I have the Perrin on the way right now... its funny I went to ebay and was going to break down and get the OBX one, I did one last search for a good price on the Perrin, and *poof* one appeared
update what it was ;)

More fuel thru the rail does you no good if you don't have bigger injectors to spray it into the cylinders. And more fule in the cylinders does you no good if you don't have a way to burn it. And you won't be able to burn it efficiently without an engine management. No need for the extra fuel if you don't have extra compression via pistons or forced induction. Plus, the stock fuel rail flows more than enough for any forced induction system on the market.
Bottom line...Fuel rail alone will get you nothing in return for your investment. In fact, it may hurt performance because you could cause a drop in pressure at the rail. Then when the injectors open, they won't spray as much as they think they are.

Well I took off the OBX rail I replaced the O-rings but I cannot get the threads on the fuel in side to seal I tried thread tape ate right through it and then I got this oil and gas resistant sealant from autozone and after two tries I put the stock rail back on. Not sure if I am going to put the OBX back on for another try.
