How many bags was that? I put 15 bags of shredded mulch plus me and the wife. I could have fit a few more bags, but was afraid of the weight and driving down a street that had several of those speed hump things. I've also fit some other pretty large boxes- gas grill, wood chipper, two toilet kits. The Home Depot employees always seem amazed.

Forgot one more. Come to think of it, this was for the SAME friend with the pickup truck. I need to ask her what the hell was the point of her getting a pickup truck when we doing all the truck stuff with my tiny subcompact!

Five suitcases
Twin-size headboard, footboard, and bed frame
Small ficus tree
Four bags of sweaters
Three human beings

Anyone else ever remove the smuggler's bay and spare tire brace? I've done it twice so car. It lowers the load floor like six inches...very very useful for unreasonably tall objects (or if you end up carting around people AND cargo).

The seats in my boyfriend's Lancer don't even fold down. :p He gets real jealous.

35 mpg even with all that toilet paper weighing you down! LOL! jk
My gas mileage was not the best when i was hauling 3/4 tons of fish. But still in the high 20's so i cant complain.

I like telling people that I wedged a loveseat into my box:

...because they cannot believe it. I've also hauled a stack of 44x56" pallets.

I <3 how much crap fits in the back of my xB.

Yes I did! I had to move the front seats forward a couple of clicks, which was a little annoying, but I only had to get across town.
