Default options for front plate???

Are there other options for the front plate for my xB other than the dealer option of drilling right through the bumper??

I saw a posting here of a bracket someone made for their xB. I plan on doing the same thing either later today or next Saturday. I have to mow the back yard first. The grass is 18 inches high (no kidding!). Yes, I will take pictures. (of the bracket, not the lawn).

My neighbor scanned his front license plate and had an adhesive sticker made. He didn't want to drill a hole in his new Ferrari...

Prop it up on the dash.

Attach it to a visor and flip it down.

Put it behind the bottom grill so the numbers show through the slot.

Leave it off and see how long you can go without a ticket.

The adhesive sticker is a great idea. In California the plates are reflective, though.

I'm half-way thorough the bracket project and should be completed next weekend. But I will be looking into that sticker idea. I like it that much.

Our plates are reflective in Washington as well, but the lack of reflectivity would probably never be noticed during the day. At night if the "law" were following you, it's likely the headlights would be shining on your rear plate, which of course would still be the real thing.

I went to home depot and bought two 5/8" by 1 and 1/2" bolts with the corresponding nuts and washers. Took me all of 5 minutes to install. If you need directions, PM me. Cost me $1.00 total

I plan on using all 4 holes of the plate. I don't want it flappin' against the bumper as my box screams past 120 mph in the school zones. If I go any slower the crossing guards will read my license number!
