Default Ordering new shoes for my xB from Tire Rack

17" Kazera KZ-S in CHROME with 215-40-17 Yokohama Avid H4 tires. Being a 45 year old family man with a new teenage driver I need a good tire that will last. These Yoko's fit the bill. Besides, since the xB is more of a cruiser I don't need ultra high performance rubber. As for the chrome, my girls like a little bling and the Kazera's look better in chrome IMHO. Also the chrome will look sweet against the BOP. Then I'll have to start saving for that new Street Scene chrome mesh grill set.

I'll post pics later in the week when I get the rims mounted.

You know that in doing my shopping for tires from the tire rack, they actually show 205/45/17 to be the optimal +2 tire size upgrade, while realistically the 215/40/17 is the best and closest to the OD of the stock tire. Also, they had only one tire choice for their selection of 205/45, and that tire sucks. I chose 215/45's for the extra meat.

Nice wheels BTW!

I wouldn't mind doing the 215/45's but they are an inch taller than the 215/40's. Don't want to kill performance anymore than I will be by going with larger rolling stock. Any Xboxes rolling on 215/45's? Marc

i am running 45's.

i wanted the extra cushion ( i live in nyc area).
ride is still too harsh in the back seat for my 10 week old. (and my 38 year old ___)
even after tein h's.

45's on 17's rub a bit under hard turns ( like parking)
good luck

What offset are the wheels, how low is the drop, and how wide is the rubber?
Mine would be +40, TRD springs (minimal drop) and 215 wide. I'm also installing the rear shims from OTG

225 wide.
1in drop. (less than TRD. I recommend Tein H over TRD by the way. cheaper and softer & less drop)

I believe offset is 40 or 42
