Ouch, I Got A Boo Boo :(
well tonight was goin fine til i decided to drive in like a 1/2 inch of snow. i was parkin my box when it started to slide and i hit a small tree branch (2 close to the curb). the result of it = a broken mirror (where the 3 screws go in the bottom) and 4 lil dents on the a-pillar whick look like someone pressed on it hard with their thumbs. a couple lil scratches which can be buffed out. i have full coverage insurance and gap insurance so i guess ill be fine. But i still thinks it hurts like hell.
hey i didnt mention that it was down hill and there was ice the whole way down. i figured you guys would have some compassion but i guess i was wrong. u would rather look out 4 urself than one of ur scion brothers. but i understand its not ur car so y do u care???
sorry about your car, but ur basically asking for no "compassion" when ur telling us that you "decided to drive in snow" and parked on a downhill slope. with ice.
seriously, though, that sucks, and i hope u get new mirrors and have ur dents fixed soon.

Of course the first posters would NEVER do anything so foolish as ... have an accident... C'mon, what were you thinking???
That sux but at least it's officially broken in now.

Check out my sad story:
I bought the car used in Florida, drove it home to Michigan. The very damn next day my wife gets to drive the car (after an arguement which she won). Goes to the video store. An old lady backs up into the bumper! Mother Frickin' blind deaf lady...
Fortunately, it she was driving about 1 mph, so all that happened was a slight scuff, a 1/2 in think crack, and the bumper got unhatched on the right side. I popped it back in and I think it's ok. It isn't worth my $500 deductable to fix (yes, MI is a 'no fault' state meaning I pay the deductable even if it isn't my fault).
Yes yes.

Anywho, been there done that. Everyone has accidents. That's why they are
called accidents.
Here is a tip for you though, DO NOT use your insurance to get this fixed!
If they have to pay for anything, they will raise your rates. So you won't be paying
for the damage now, but you'll be paying for it for YEARS because they will jack
up your rates.
Best bet is to first go to one of those dent wizard type places where they pull dents
without repainting. Generally they charge $25 a dent to do their magic. Get the
small stuff taken care of.
Next, see if you can get a free estimate from a body/repair shop that specializes
in that type of work. See if they can get you a list of what needs to be replaced.
Then, save up and see if you can get the mirror and whatever parts you need
yourself, as opposed to paying out the **** for a body shop to buy them from the
dealer and mark them up.
Have the shop fix it up as good as new and just be careful about it from here on out.
Trust me though, you'd rather pay $400 out of your own pocket now, then have
the insurance company mark you as a risk and (possibly) raise your rates $25 a
month. You'll think the amount you would have paid out of pocket is cheap compared
to years of high rates!
