Default Paint question

I have an RS1.0 that I'm extremely proud of, but have scarred. The passenger side windshield wiper came loose at some point and I was unaware of it. It ended up 'wiping' the paint above the windshield. Anyone have any suggestions for fixing this? Is it possible to hit it with some type of chemical and possibly buff it out?

I come from an older generation where we used paste wax for problems like this, but I'm afraid to appy the same method. The paint on today's cars seems so different from the past decades.

Thanks for any advice!
