You should probably adjust your headlights down a bit...
I never really noticed it until I installed my HIDs but my cutoff was mad high.
I don't want to ruin anyones highbeam flashing fun, but if people are flashing you, adjust your lights.

It's a taller car and people are stupid. I'm running stock, too, and it happens all the time.

I usually flash 'em back. "THOSE weren't my high-beams...but THESE ARE."

It'll still happen, but it'll definitely be less annoying. ;)

LMAO i know what your talking about , ive had 2 xb and its been the same way with both, one someone stopped in the middle of the road got out of the car and started yelling at me, they thaught i had my highs on or was flashing them at them, i have projectors now and it seems to have stoped.....untill i put the hid in them and now once and again they will flash me and i hit them with the hi's, poor suckers and im on bags and when someone is in front of me screwing around i just put the front end up and put the hids rite in their eyes

Damn, but it's annoying, isn't it? This didn't start till I added Silverstars. I bet it's worse with HID. BTW, the guy who inspected my car actually checked for aftermarket HID, saying he wouldn't pass it with them (I don't have them) . . .

you need to ask him why its illegal? and no matter what he says to you, you should tell him that he would have to fail all the cadillacs, benz, bmw, nissan....etc with the factory hid them, just tell him that it was a factory installed option :D

I've actually been flashed much less w/ my HIDs although I believe my springs that lowered and raked my car have had a major effect.

Guy was a pill. Didn't even know what a Scion or xB was. One of those "Oh, I've heard about those." people.

Checked the exhaust to see if it was stock, saying catbacks are illegal due to high dB, but when asked what the dB limit was, said it wasn't defined by law - just whatever the inspector felt was excessive! Told me he regularly failed fart cans because they are too noisy, even though there's no law about this yet (it is due within a year in Mass).

Also said any mods to taillights are illegal because only stock tails have passed DOT inspection.

Surprisingly, he didn't say boo about how I dropped this car!

I think he just didn't like the hot lava color . . .

Yeah it happens all the time to me too especially on long trips at night , |I guess I just dont understand why someone else feels the need to flash me .I think it must be some sort of pathetic power trip. |Sometimes I wait and flash back and sometimes |I just think |"What a looser you really showed me didnt you" Oh well such is life.

It's a natural occurrence with a stock xB. 2 reasons are the short wheelbase and the fact the rear stock shocks are too stiff. It causes the xB to bounce over every little bump giving the effect of flashing high beams. Ever since I changed out the rear shocks for the Monroes this happens very little to none.

I like to think of B@@Bie flashing...those are so much nicer.
But, then again...I have Projector headlights, aimed up slightly....I get highbeamed alot, and fire back with the brights.... watch em swerve!
