what taillights do you have? Mine have DOT stamped on them. Grandpa D, watch em swerve? That's not nice!! but its awfully funny! bB2ner, I noticed that with the bumps. Last night I was in front of a xB and it hit a bump and I thought it was flashing me but I think the light from the bulb hit the chrome in the headlight housing and caused it to look that way. I haven't got flashed yet.

I recently started seeing this happen after I moved out to Oregon. If you play with the search feature on the boards you tend you get a little more info about your problem

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ghts&&start=40

Tomas posted the exact way to adjust your headlights "per the book." So you can look into it that way. If you don't care to take the 15 minutes or so to do this, pop open your hood, get a phillips screw driver, find the adjustment **** on the back of the headlights and give them a few turns clockwise. Just make sure that you check them on your street or somewhere close before you go out driving at night.

Default bright lights

I work for coca-cola, so i do alot of driving during early morning and late night, and i get flashed a lot, usually when they flash me i figure they want to see bright light so i give it to them, when they pass me they are two shades darker. Also i tinted my back windows and i have not had to flip my mirror once since then.

Just a little bit more info:

It may not always be the headlights they're flashing you about, could be another driver sending a warning of a speedtrap up ahead or cop in that direction; so sometimes it may just be the driver is courteous and giving you a 'heads up'. I do it all the time when I can...

Or maybe they just really like your car!

Good idea!!! I wish I had thought about it. Here in TN others flash whenever there is an accident or broken down car on the side up ahead too.

I've always done lights off-lights back on real quick when signalling for a cop. Never used high beams. I'll be more careful now when people flash me, regardless of what I'm in. It depends on where you're at too, I guess. In Prescott, AZ, we did wipers on in the daytime and lights off-lights on at night.
