That screw is a pain to remove so i too just pulled it out. You don't need and when I reinstalled mine I left it out.

I took a photo of the needles before I removed them so I knew where they would go back. The speedo and tach needles point directly at the '0' line. The fuel on the other hand is just barely below the empty line. I have been using kodak paper, but with out the logo on the back.

The speedo and tach are simple, just line the needle up with the start of the line. The fuel guage is more of a guessing match. Just remeber, as long as your fuel guage is close you will be alright. You have a low fuel light that comes on with roughly 2 to 2.5 gallons of gas left, or roughly 60-70 miles...

Post some of your ideas and let others help you. There's a wealth of knowledge out here to learn from. I know a thing or two about making faceplates.

must incorporate the blue onyx pealr of my xb but not all blue Get rid or the KPH (nothing against metric) AN idea i had was to make the numbers on the tach speedo and fuel gauge go from green to red (the numbers themselves)

Another Idea was one like yellowsubs but blue instead of yellow and a red lettering

will play with photoshop more tommorow

One big thing to take into consideration when selecting colors is how much light will pass through. The darker the color the less light will pass. With a dark blue and a red it might become difficult to read at night.
