which a-pillar? left, right, or both? im just curious since i dont have the same problem.
ill have to look at the rearview for those pivots, if i could adjust it so it isnt in my d@mn way all the time that'd be great. im not someone who "low-rides" while they're driving so the thing is always getting in my way checking to the right. ive twice almost gotten into accidents when i didnt see cars sitting at the right side of a 4-way stop when they had the right of way

i have the same problem with the driver side a-pillar. There is a long left curve on my way to work that has me moving my head forward and back for about 1/4 mile, and it's a bit of a pain, not to mention i look like a total dork (normally, I'm just a dork). this is the first car i've ahd with a really sloping/big front windshield. The a-pillar seems far forward because of this and that could be it. my wife, who sits farther forward and is shorter hasn't mentioned any problem.
oh, i have the side airbags--does that make the the interior grey plastic on the a-pillar wider? (I realize the steel exterior dimensions are the same.) actually, do all the xA's have the side curtain bags? does the option cover merely the side bags in the seats?

a-piller
The only problem i have with the driverside a-piller is in the morning when my side windows are still foggy from night time moisture and trying to make a left hand turn. I have to duck my head around to look through the windshield. If it's not too chilly i'll just roll the window down a little.
The rear view mirror on the other hand only gets in my way when i've creeped up into the intersection and waiting for traffic to break so that i can turn left and trying to look up to see if the light has changed to yellow.

I drove the xA for the first time yesterday, and the rear view mirror is a BIG concern of mine. I'm about 6'2" and it's right in my line of sight.
Could the mirror be popped off and remounted higher up on the windshield?

Not trying to sound like a smart @ss, but is it possible for you guys with the a-pillar problem to move the seat either up or back a notch? I am too lazy to move my big mellon, but it is easier to move my big butt....
