Default Power door lock question

Does anybody know of anyway to disable the auto unlock if the key is in the ignition?
I want to be able to have the key in the ignition and lock the doors with the remote.

if you could find the wire for it splice it and connect it to a switch so you dont have any dash lights on...

So I can leave the key in the ignition and lock the door.

hmm... i assume only for show purposes so you can have accessories on?

otherwise, it's not normally a good idea to leave keys in the ignition when you're not around the immediate vicinity of the vehicle. which is an obvious given anyway..

i'll see what i can find... this is scion security for a xB?

i doubt it's possible for an alarm system to be set if the key is already in the ignition though, which i assume you do have because of the remote.

only option i see is carrying two sets of keys and locking doors manually while not setting the alarm.

I think the idea with the auto-unlock is so you won't have the doors lock with the key in the ignition, but you may be able to get something aftermarket.
