Default price of new 2K6 xB / accessories codes

hello all, i'm new to the forum and doing research recently on 2K6 xB. seriously thinking of getting one within a month. i like to know what's the price i should be paying knowing the invoice price is no more than $14k. i'm not thinking of getting any dealer options. can anyone indicate how much they paid out-the-door? right now, a dealer quoted me at:

Vehicle Base Model (auto): $14680
Total Accessories: $120 *(Accessories: FE, CF, P8, WC)
Destination: $515
Total: $15315

what are those accessories codes? i tried to do research on it but didn't find what they meant. also, i was looking for stick shift. price should be lower? better performance / mileage?

thanks in advance for any response.

Scion runs a "no haggle" sales department. What you are quoted is what you are going to pay at any dealer. My understanding is you may get a better deal in regards to some of the accessories you get from dealer to dealer but the basic price is going to be the same.
From the price you are quoted that is right on track for what anyone is going to pay. Not sure about the accessory codes.

The manual runs about $800 cheaper.

The base price is right. The destination charge seems on par with most. Ask the dealer what the accessory codes are. I believe the floormats are $120, maybe they included those. (If they didn't, you should get them, they're nice, you can get them online for like $60. I know if the dealer installs them they have nice clips to keep them from moving.)

With a manual, you will get a peppier car and better mileage.

Actually it's opposite for the manual reference mileage. You actually get better MPG with the auto (not much) because the manual revs much higher when cruising along at freeway speeds. However, if you are looking for a peppier car than go with the manual.

For 2005 models these were the options codes

WC 6 spoke twist wheel cover
P8 Pioneer am/fm cd player (not 6 disc)
CF Floor mats (front/rear/and cargo)

I found for 06's
FE 50 State emissions

Basically its a stock XB with floor mats.

Don't buy the floormats or any other accessory that doesn't require an installation from the dealer. Get them off ebay and pay like half the price!

The people I know with manuals get better mileage.

Either way, you'll get great mileage.

Where can I find a list of all the option codes?

I was quoted $14395 for a 2006 base manual xB. How can a base auto only be $14680?

I got an average of 32 MPG city and 38 MPG highway on the xB 5 speed. I usually shifted at 4k rpm because it just seemed like a good shift point. I also had 16" NKB wheels, an injen intake, and blitz exhaust, but it didn't really affect the mileage. I usually cruise on the highway around 70MPH @ 3500rpm.

Bull,
the price you were quoted should include delivery-handling fee. Those run around $520 give or take a few bucks. He separated out the delivery fee above.
If your dealer is telling you that their is another $500 bucks on top of the price you were quoted, then you are getting screwed. Go to Scion.Com, and price the base model you want for xB and add another $150 increase to it and you have your 2006 price (the website still has the 2005 xB on it and doesn't reflect the price increase)

hello again, thank you all for your inputs. it's a preppy card to begin with, and for the price you just can't beat it. looks like there aren't much haggling in pricing since they run a different operation from other dealers. i guess in a way that's good. what you see is what you pay. i'm curious tho to know how much they actually make per car sale.

so my understanding is that the main difference between the 05 and 06 are the colors and change in radio? i didn't see other exterior / interior differences.

mileage is great if you commute like me. i live in s. cali and 210 fwy in the mornings aren't exactly a walk in the park (or perhaps it is because it's literally slow paced that way). but that's life.

thanks again for inputs...
