Default Projector bulb question

Mods, I appologise if this is in the wrong section.....

I bought the new dual halo dual projectors recentley. I upgraded the bulb (9006 low beams) at Checker Auto. I'm not exactly excited about the them. But, they are a hell of allot better then the ones the housing came with. The lows take a 55 watt bulb.

My question is: Another guy in my car club had some 7000k 100 watt 9006's in his bmw projectors. He upgraded to HID, and I was interested in his old lights. Will these lights of his pose a negative problem with my car? Can my car handle the 100 watt low beams without a problem with wiring etc. ?

Any info is appreciated, please only post if you know what your talking about. I really dont want to fry my wires lol.

I wouldn't do it. I burned up my harness in my old Neon using higher wattage bulbs. It's just not worth it. Get some HID's and be done with it.

Thanks Munch. I'm just gonna save for HID.....somday I'll be able to afford it. I think I'm done modding for a year, got a c/f hood on the way too now.

No, the projectors were $270. Plus they are dual high and low projectors with dual halo's and leds.

I'm gonna link you a thread in my other clubs message board. I'm trying to buy some, but they are trying to talk me out of it or some $hit.
