Default Question about this crack in bumper

Is there a specific reason why they put it there?

when the xb's come to the dealership, a Tech installs those two piece and the black mudflap/support at the dealership. That crack would not be ther if the piece was installed at the factory. xB's have marine hooks mounted to the frame so when they come over from japan, they wont bounce around.

those two pieces are in the way beacuse they are too low. thus, they are placed in the hatch untill they arrive to USA!!

There is 4WD specification in Japan. Therefore, because the exit of the muffler becomes 4WD specification left, it is divided.

n_bb ..... there are 4wd xb's or is it just the chassis platform on a different model?
As for the molding if you wanted to keep the stock lip a body shop can plastic "weld" it together kind of like a hot glue gun for plastic.

no, it was welded together and the cut-out piece grafted into the driver side from a new passenger side part.
