Default Rear hatch strut removal HELP PLEASE

Does anyone know how to get the rear hatch struts off? I can't seem to get them off the pivot point. Thanks in advance

My old ones seal broke and they won't hold up the rear hatch anymore. So i'm trying to fix them before an event tonight plus I want everything to be perfect for the new owner.

The instructions look simple enough. it says to remove Bolt A from the door panel (which it shows as the bolt on the hatch side of the strut.) the HINT says to support the weight of the door with your hand while removing it. Then remove the two bolts B and the stay on the body side.

I don't have my Box nearby, but from the pic it almost looks like the pivot is the bolt...

I sent you an email...

Thank you very much. I was kind of afraid that's how it was done. Now I have to go buy a wrench that can fit for the bolt A all mine are to big. Thank you again.

Glad we could help. Keep the receipt for the tool... if it's the "wrong one" you may need to return it...

Ahh, well as my luck would have it the bolts are nice and tight on there so instead of coming off they are a nice round shape instead since the bolt is also a plyable as plastic. Man this is fun.
