Default Replacing Auto Shift ****?

Anyone done this yet? I'm a tall guy and my leg allways seems to rest right up against the shift button. I'm slightly concerned about accidently shifting it if I have to turn suddenly.

There are very few out there that have the button on the top and have the overdrive button. So just wondering if anyone had done this yet.

I'm in the same boat that you are. The stock shift **** is painful during long drives and the constant activation of OD is real annoying. I haven't found any replacement ***** with the OD button yet.

ummm yes this has been covered. it was a small post but i remember Matt from NE did it.
he changed the shift **** around to the other side
heres what he wrote: (for some reason it looks like the topic doesnt exist. if you search throw mgmlot93 on the second page you can find it:
Others have posted that they have problems with their leg hitting the OD button while driving. I had this same problem and I couldn't find a decent replacement shifter for less than $100. Even when I decided to go ahead and pay the $100 I couldn't find anyone who had it. So I finally got tired of it and took the center console/shifter apart. Once you get everything taken apart there is no way to shorten it that I could find - the piece you would have to shorten is metal and it is attached to the whole mechanism. On top of all that, it is threaded for the shifter to attach to it and that means you would have to shorten it from the bottom to leave the holes in place to attach to. So, after almost giving up it dawned on me - you can just flip the whole top assembly around so that your shifter release button and OD button face the passenger side. You have to cut the OD wire and reattach it after you spin it but it is fairly simple.
1) Remove center console and pop off the PRND cover
2) Cut the OD wires coming from the top of shifter about 1" from sleeve
3) Remove screws in shifter and pull the entire shifter off the post
4) Pop the top of the shifter off of the piece where the screws go in
5) Flip the shifter top around and put it back on the piece with the holes
6) Slide it back on the post and splice the OD wires back together
7) Reassemble everything in reverse order and put console back on

Works great now - and no hitting the button all the time!! Plus - cost = $0.00

^^^Thanks a heap

Razo, Napolex and I think Pilot?(only have a part number PM-152) have automatic shift ***** w o/d

Now just looking for a reputable dealer that carries the Razo RA91

The PM-152 looks like a plastic knockoff of the razo but I'm not sure. I know that the Razo is a pretty solid chunk of aluminium but can't find any specs on the pm-152

Definitely do - I'd be interested in seeing how it looks in the xB.
