ok i have been searching around about this whole scion keyless entry system. i know you can make it chearp if you hook it up to your horn. how do you know if your scion has the scurity alarm or just the keyless entry. i know my remote has the panic button on it. if i do have the security system installed does anyone know how to program it? i know the xA is differant but i havent been able to find any insturctions for the xB.

 

if you have a little thingy in the dash that has the word "scion security" and a flashing red led.. that's how you know if you have it or not.

it replaces a spot on your switch panel. otherwise... you just have keyless. the keyless is the only thing that needs to be programmed to the car.. once it's done that.. than you can just install the security system and it'll just use the same fob.

factory wise... the horn doesn't chirp or do anything when you arm/disarm the alarm.

only in the xA... at which then it's the chirp from a piezo buzzer.
