Default Resale value?

Hey guys,

This is my first post. :D

I went to the Scion dealer yesterday and fell in love with an XA.
However my situation permits me to buy one only at the end of this year. My question is how much do you think the prices will be on used scions?
I'm hoping I can get a base XA for around 10k with under 20k miles.
Does this sound too low ?
I really need to get rid of my 2003 eclipse{4 cyl. automatic}. What a hunk of junk.. After driving the 5 spd. XA yesterday its much quicker then my current ride.

Thanks in advance for your replys.
Eddie

Your request requires a crystal ball! There won't be that many xAs on the used market, particularly in places where they launched in February. I wouldn't hold my breath for the $10,000 xA at year's end.

On autotrader.com in my area there are already 14 used Scions in general for sale.

The cheapest there is an XA with 23,000 miles and Aem cai for 10,995 so I see 10k very possible.

Wow, and you'd be hard pressed to get a stupid Echo for under 10 even after two years. I have seen people asking 8k for a 2001 Echo... and getting it.

Dang Echo's are pretty cheap around here.
My friend just bought a 2000 Echo for 5k with 30k miles on it.
And 2002 are in the 8k range with similar mileage.

I don't know what resale will be, but we are currently paying more than sticker for used xAs and xBs at auction!

I am in MN, and used Echos still hold their value...we rarely see them for less than 10k.

Good luck in your search

About 1.5 months before the east coast launch STOCK xB's were going for 18k-19k at the auctions around here!! I could only imagine what those dealers sold them for
