Default RS4 trade?

Hello, everyone. I'm currently having quite the dilemma:

I have a 2005 BCP xB with a few mods. I think the new xB looks like butthole, and am seriously considering trading my box in for an RS4 box so that way I can have something with super resale value.

Question: Has anyone here done this, and were they satisfied with the purchase?

in 2 years, i doubt the resale value, besides your mileage, will be much different.

if any of the rs's were actually much different, i'd agree. But it really hardly counts as a special, super limited edition like something like the almighty vw r32s.

scion paintjobs are crappy.

have you seen other buttholes? mine looks alot different. i just checked again, just to make sure.

I traded my year old BSP in on a RS 4.0 recently. My xB held its valur pretty well. I wanted to get a current GEN 1 xB since I didn't care for the new style. I had a local friend do the same thing.

Yeah, you're right. Scion paintjobs are pretty much garbage when it comes to durability.

And yes, buttholes are generally the same. Strange yours is such a deviant, lol

Too bad the VW Rabbit R32 doesn't come in a 5 door. But I don't understand why they're making it a Limited Edition when they'll all be sold fairly quickly. Unfortunately I won't be able to get my hands on one. but this isn't about me nor the R32. I think the only thing that'll affect the resale value is your mileage.

i mean, i see where you are trying to go with buying the RS4 for resale, but it's quite deceiving because of the double edge sword that is the paint job..

lets face it', the paint is expense, so it will cost a pretty (torched) penny if you have chips and paint when you go to sell it.

My advice dude, save your $3k - $5k you would need to "upgrade" to the RS4 and put it in ING.

You guys are right. I'm keeping my BCP. I got a closer look at an RS4 last night and I asked the salesman "what's so special about this xB other than the paint?" He shrugged and said "not much".

My Brother-in-Law has the RS4, it is nothing special other than the color, number badge and the grille...I have added alot of the same accessories...for less $$$ too by doing the installs myself.

Wise choice my friend. You would have lost your butt on trade-in plus that RS4.0 pkg makes you buy a bunch of other lame stuff like a black plastic rear bumper aplique and just try touching up that crappy Scion "special" paint.

PS. I agree that the 2nd gen xB looks like DO DO
