Scion Cruise Control
I only use cruise control about 3 or 4 times a year when I hit the convention circuit, but during those trips it's a MUST! Still, I'm not totally sold on this "add-on" cruise control. I think that aything that manages the throttle and speed of my vehicle should be installed at the factory, but maybe that's just me being paranoid.

^^^ It's you being paranoid...
My father, way back in the day, (around 1955), had a 1949 Ford with 'factory' cruise control. And one time, he set it, and forgot about it, till a cop pulled him over; seems the cruise control had a mind of it's own, and he was speeding...
Well, today's cruise control is not the same. It's all electronic. And just put in, almost like many of our stereos: Plug and Play, so to speak.
I use mine, when I want to make sure I am doing 35 MPH (we have a LOT of speed traps around here, on roads that should be 45 but are only 35...) and I also know, that when I get on the highway, it will help with my gas mileage, since it keeps the car moving at the same speed; no variance to worry about.
I think it's safe...You should not worry. I hope.

Don't worry - I'm the same way about installing my own brakes... Pretty much anything that makes my car "stop" or "go" I like to leave to professionals.
If I decide to get one after I get my xB, I'll cruise down and let you install it for me, deal? Sounds like you've got a handle on the situation! :D

When I was younger, and more foolish, I did all my mods myself. Now, I'm older, and have decided that getting the mods done by the dealer (or someone with a warranty) , is the way to go. Blame someone else, who will fix it, is my new motto.
But I don't worry much; Gary is DA man when it comes to installing these things. Took him 45 minutes, maybe less. And, I really appreciate his taking the time to make sure it would not hit my knees.
