Looks like it now shows the Salsa Red xB and steering wheel controls!

Yup. That's the "mid year change" we were all expecting. The early '06's were really an extension of the '05 model run, with the addition of new radio models (which aren't really a part of the car, but an accessory).

The "late '06 xB" is the first actual model change in the car itself (colors and wiring).

The "early '06 xB" might just as acurately have been called a "late '05 xB"...

Nice to see the model actually change, finally.

 

Oh grrrrrrrrrrrrrr of course they put the audio controls in the wheel and not something I could just mount...

I wonder what they would say if I wanted to buy the "colored" steering wheel for my 06 xB, would it have the audio controls in it??? *snicker* I would imagine the radio itself has not been changed just the additional buttons in the spoke. I think I will just pick up a "new" colored steering wheel.

I'm still ticked off they did this....

I will admit both the Salsa Red and Shadow Mica look really good.

EDIT: Just got off the phone w/ the parts department where I bought the xB and told them I will buy a new two-tone color wheel if it has the audio controls. He's going to call HQ in the morning and see what is needed and/or if it is even available to purchase.

 

omg!!!

i ordered a polar white xB on nov 11th and i still have not gotten word on it!!! I HOPE THAT IT COMES WITH THE STEERING WHEEL RADIO CONTROLS!!!!

wait a minute - i dont even use the radio controls that are on the steering wheel of my hummer! lol!

anyway, it'd be cool to have some that sets the xB apart from the others i see! my fingers are crossed that i get this option! but my eyes are crossed waiting for it!@#!@#!@#

 

That sucks hard for all the early 06' owners. They basically just bought 05's with 06' vins. Scion just said "Suckers". Very Sad.

 

Oh don't forget I got the "new" radio and am probably one of the only owners that doesn't intend on taking out my stock radio due to the aux port. Now I think they can go *@#( themselves.

I can not wait until Exposed........
