Default Scion without floor mats? and save $120

Has anyone bought a Scion without the $120 floor mats? I'm buying one this week and most dealerships that I contacted informed me that they don't order any Scions without the mats. Scion.com lists 'the mats' as an option meaning we do have a choice not to purchase them, right?

I just want to run this by scionlife ppl before I hand over my hard-earned $ this weekend.

I ordered my scion with no mats and were delivered that way with no hassle. I concurrently ordered them off McGeorgeParts(.com) for $80 shipped, though.

I skipped the mats as well. I picked up some black carpet/rubber combo Rubbermaids at Target for $25. And it took about .002 seconds to get over the fact that the fuzz I'll be stepping on doesn't say "SCION" on it.

If I had $120 to blow on 4 square feet of rug, I wouldn't have bought a Scion.

Mine came without mats also, but I went to parts and bought them separately the same day.

if the dealer is telling you this, he is a LIAR !!!! tell him that by insisting you purchase mats which are optional he is going to lose the sale. better yet tell his manager that and if you don't get the reaction you like find another dealership.

I didn't pay for floormats either. I have some black Shaw carpet in mine that blends perfectly with the floor material :D . Can't beat carpet, especially when it was free!

If I have any inbound Scions unsold I order with mats. Most customers want mats. I also order some with out and we can always add at the dealership.

To answer your question, order without. There are other options . . .unless you want Scion embroidered. You can even do that on some custom joints for the price, just make sure the cut is right.

yes, It is possible to get a scion w/o mats....

But I think that the mats are $120 well spent, beings that I have already had them replaced under warranty....

I really got ripped then, when I bought my Scion, the mats were already in it and I asked to take them out, and they didn't... but get this - they charged me $145!

And it was wintertime when I bought the tC and they're already ruined..

If you buy one on the lot with the mats already on it, they have the right to refuse to get rid of it. What you see on the sticker is what you get (or what you must pay for-Pure Pricing). Other than that ask the stealership to order an xB without carpet mats or other options you do not want. It's not that hard. If they hassle and say you can't order one, find another place.

Ohh, I bought $10 rubber floor mats from WalMart about 1.5yrs ago (33K miles ago) and they are still holding well. I found an extra piece of floor mat hooks from my old car and made a hole on the rubber mat. Hooked the mat to the hook, then push the hook in the hole on the floor.

I didn't buy the mats but I think you can get them at the scion parts dept. for less than half that amount.
i have sponge bob mats in mine.
