Default On Second windshield !!

Ok I have had to have my windsheild replaced once and my xB is only 4 months old ! One week after getting a NEW windshield put in to the DAY.. I got another crack in my windshield ! Arrrhhh.... this is awful. I'm worried it will spread and I'll have to get my second replacement berfore 6 months has passed ! Insurance will pay but I don't like going to them every other month either. Any ideas ? Other than to just not drive my xB around.. ? LOL HELP !!

just drive faster and pass the other cars on the road so you won't get any flying rocks on your glass. just my 0.02.

park it in a garage and never drive it. That will keep anything from ever happening to your car.

Get one of those bug deflectors it might help move lil rocks abit further up so they dont hit your windshield.

As soon as you hear a rock hit your glass, look for the chip and fill it as soon as possible before it spreads into an actual crack.

my first crack in the windshield was high up then very down low. i was thinking of deflectors but that looks funky.

Default Thanks for all the ..uh help about my windsheild...

Thanks to everyone for giving me ideas about how to protect my xB from rocks... I really like the speeding ahead of all the other cars, But I can't afford insurance after getting speeding tickets every time I go to town and back.. but thanks anyway. As for not driving at all ...That's a good idea but not workable.. I need to drive to get to town once in a while. I'll just have to go fast and duck and dodge..LOL thanks again.. have a great day everyone.. JustOneScion..

How do you fill a chip? Something you can buy at autozone?

don't know if this would work but what about putting that rock blocker clear film but on the windshield? just a thought. it protects your paint. why not your glass. what do you guys think. i'm just dealing with the crack in my windshield cause it's too expensive right now for me too get a new windshield.

i have to agree, the stock windsheild is mad out of like egg shells or somethign, but i agree with filling it asap, places like autozone, napa, advanced, pep boys etc do sell a substance for it, i had a small little chip (couldn't even see it) that cracked down the whole side of my windshield, free replacement through insurance, but its just the hassle of doing it. and don't speed in the xb...i don't think the whoppin 96 horses are gona do much for ya ;-)

I have free glass replacement on my insurance. No deductible and doesn't effect rates. It cost $20 extra a year. I think its a good thing to have with an xB.
