Default Security Camera/Alarm

Does anyone know of a car alarm system that includs a on board motion dedector. My xB has been keyed four times now in the last couple of months and I need this madness to stop. I am looking for a camera system to sit inside my car and start to record as soon as there is someone near by. Any info or advice is aprreciated. Thanks!!

Haven't heard of one yet. It sounds like to me that you need to be more careful where you park/leave your xB un-attended. You either have an enemy or just real bad luck. Don't think the alarm would be sensitive enough to stop a key job anyhow.
There must be plenty of pi$$ed off canucks up there because Scions are not sold there and they are jealous as heck that you have one and they can't get one!!! That's the only logical reason that makes sense to me.

yes, i have heard of an alarm that does that and sends a still image to the pager / remote. Damed if i can remember the brand though!!! sorry! i know there's one out there though that does that. the installer was telling me about it when he was doing my friends' alarm... they mount up to 2 tiny cameras in the front and or back of the car on the inside... if the motion detectors do not set off the camera (perp too far out of range) the alarm will also activate recording, if the alarm is tripped.
wish i could be of more help with the brand. i can tell you the cameras recorded in color, and the remote has a color display to show images

Get an alarm with a radar module.

It'll probally end up going off alot when you don't want it to, but could help out.

Cheap and DIY. Build a few for multiple angles:

I believe Panasonic makes some wifi security cams that will save motion detected still images to a cf card. They are fairly small, but you still have to provide 110v. But I am sure that could be done with a small inverter. You could also log into your car, if you were able to park in a hot spot.
