EPS FILE = Encapsulated Post Script File (computer data for producing graphics)

The SIGNARAMA lady, Jennifer, in Annapolis says she needs and EPS file of the Scion Logo to print out a FULL SIZE REAR HATCH LOGO.

MY PLAN: The SCION letters, running just under the glass, would be empty to let the HOT LAVA color come thru and would nearly fill the hatch from left to right. I'd delete the top spiral, as it would be struck by the rear wiper, and otherwise nearly fill the hatch and glass with the Scion Logo printed out in a 3 dimensional way to show ridges and shadows.

PROBLEM IS: Koon's Scion in Annapolis used to have access to a pay website and could get EPS files from the site for Signarama to print out for Koons...and then there manager stopped paying for the website. No more EPS files on Koons.

Anybody have info...or the EPS file for the Scion Logo in 3D who 'd be willing to share with Jennifer at Signarama in Annapolis..<www.signarama.com>?

i can draw one up but you need to clarify 3d, like in perspective or just shaded or what what?

 

Lance...that is a generous offer...and was seeing a SCION LOGO pop up on the rotating ads at the top of the SCION LIFE page. It's the SCION LOGO that on the steering wheel/ back liftgate for the xB. To do in 3-D is would be shaded to give it perspective.

Jennifer at SIGNARAMA (www.signarama.com) says she needs it in an EPS (ecapsulated post script) file to print out in 3-D. Finished Graphic would be in two pieces, top and bottom, with the bottom piece stuck on the metal part of the back liftgate and to top piece on the glass window of the liftgate.

The last twist to the project is to replace SCION with HOTLAVA....and the color would show thru the letters from the metalic orange painted liftgate....YES! Dimensions would be, well Jennifer took measurements, about 3.5 foot by 4.5 foot...split horiaontally just above the Logo word bar.

Thats the concept...can you help.

Yea I'll draw it only take me a second, I will match the font best I can probally eurostile extended or a basterdized serpent extended dunno I will get it to work. aiight well let me know

Usually the TOYOTA DEALERS have access to the master art files used in ads on their websites. I have access to a FORD site for this becuase I do ads for a local dealership. Maybe one of the DEALERS who frequents here will know a password to get you in for the files. Try to get the real logo file, don't hack it with some "similar" font and try to trace the logo. Hopefully you can find this item, it would be good to have. GOOD LUCK. Please let us know if you do get your hands on it.

 

Tell her to call Koons they may be nice enough to let her have access to ad planner, or they can down load the logo for her and just let her use the logo that way.. or you could call Koons and ask them where they get the signage done..that way you are going with someone who most likely already has the logo.

 

Jennifer has the EPS file because she emailed it to me a month ago. We never paid for the site to begin with. We were granted temporary access to the site(XYZgraphics.com) by Toyota which ran out some time ago. Nobody has contacted me about this or I would have emailed the file in question to whoever needed it ( I believe I still have it here somewhere.Whoever needs this file just send me a PM and I will send it along after I find it.

Hey SCION LOGO file wanters,

I could get Rachael (Signarama in Annapolis) to work with me a while to open the "Original" file for a generous and hardworking benefactor working with Dealership file......Well....it was large and difficult to open...and is essentially a photo of the Scion Logo.

She said there is NO WAY they can Print this file...need essentially something that can reduce Original Photos to Lines...that's what's in an EPS file (Encapsulated Post Script)...according to Rachael.

So...still looking out here for a file or Artist to create a file that will render a Scion Logo in 3D....and plan to Substitute the word HOTLAVA for the word Scion in the logo.

Is there an ARTIST in the house!!!

Ok here is the problem you are facing... #1 she isnt printing it she is cutting it from vinyl... and what your looking for in a 3D graphic has shades and gradient fades which can not be cut in vinyl. EPS files are either black or white no fades or half tones.. I do have the 2D scion logo in EPS if that will help.
