Default Stupid censor.

I just bought an intake head at my local wal-mart for my Xb...before i bought it i new it wouldnt work cause of the censor, but i still wanted to do it...I cut a hole in the black rubber tube and stuck the censor in their but that didnt work...then i cut a hole in the filter its self and stuck the censor in their, again it didnt work...i had my little brother blow into the censor once i started the box and my engine stayed on, so i need to know how to get a steady air flow into the censor...........Please help if you have done this before i dont fell like spending money on a whole syestem. but i will eventually.

Ok, I just skimmed through you post.

Sensor, not censor (Already mentioned)

You bought a intake from Wal-Mart......DING DING DING- There is your problem right there!

THEN, you cut a hole in you tubing and stick the MAF sensor in it, and THEN wonder why it doesnt work right.

Then you little brother blew on the sensor and the engine light comes on?

OHH Man, your right the sensor is stupid! It is its own fault for it messing up, heaven forbid its UMMMMM..............THE OWNERS FAULT for buying an intake from Wal-Mart!

Couple of things-

1. Return intake to Wal-mart (still have the reciept?)
2. Try to fix whatever problems you created (we all make mistakes)
3. Either spend enough money to do it right...because doing it wrong always costs more in the long run...or do nothing.

It's a good lesson to learn from.

They sell intakes at Wal-Mart? Really? No joke? Wow.

Um yeah, what they said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Plus, be really careful with your MAF sensor. That's an expensive little piece and can be harmed easily.

Wow, I can hardly read your post, but it appears you bought an intake filter, and then you cut something to make it fit.... The MAF didn't fit so you blew on it....

STOP!

There are a few threads on this site that show you how to properly make a poorman's intake using walmart parts. Just do a search for those threads before you do (or cut, or blow on) anything else!
