Default Sun Visor problem

OK I hate to complain but... My new (1 week old) xB has a glaring problem. When I drive south in the morning I get a massive sun coming through the drivers door. Since the windshield is so far forward on the xB, the sun visor only covers half the driver’s window, leaving me with the sun slamming my left eye! Has anybody seen any kind of visor with a pull-out extension that will fit the xB? Anything would be helpful.

I noticed the same in Florida sun and have my front windshield tinted when I got the sides.

You may consider tint.

Front tint (in my case, just an eyebrow) has helped a lot. If you go that route, get darker than you think you need if you get an eyebrow (just make sure it's legal) I got 20% and it could definitely stand to be much darker.

Move the Pacific Northwest that'll solve your problem......
We'll be lucky to see the sun for about the next 4-5 months.

Didn't you take a test drive b4 buying the Box? You would have known about the sun/sunvisor problem then...

I noticed the same thing when I first got my box, .... I did notice the other day that since I got my Wade vent visors I haven't had as much of a problem, I rarely even turn my visor to the sides any more.....

I have been really bothered by this for months now. I have searched a lot and I haven't found a visor that will work yet. I am pretty sure it would be possible to remove the handle above the window and install a second visor that would cover the entire length of the window.

I sadly haven't gotten my xB yet but is there any reason you couldn't just snag a visor off of a Camry or something? those have little extenders I think. The holes probably don't even come close to lining up I suppose.

Yeah, one of my major complaints when I bought the box. Stupid design. I'm suprised they didn't change it after the first two models years.

agreed on the external sunvisors. There when you need em, and when you don't, you hardly notice em'.

I like this idea, I really think that the stock visors are a little cheap looking. Anybody tried this yet? I've seen the grab bar swap in the tech section. Which visors could be swapped in?
