I really wanted one, but since I ordered the R.S 1.0, I don't want to cut it up at all right now... I really love sunroofs, and I have a convertible right now, but I am not sure at this point, leaning toward no though...

i got one put in when i first got my car. the dealership sent it out to get it put in and added it to the total of the car. they did a really clean job. i think it was a webasto sunroof. the one that slides into the roof.

I wish a sunroof was an option. That would be sweet.

Yeah I'm getting this a lot from everyone I've been talking to too...most dealerships have a aftermarket shop that will install a sunroof, I've always been impressed with the work that the shop that my dealer works with, looks like factory...and when I went to S.E.M.A I don't think I saw a Xb without a sunroof....here's the but.....at our product launch here in on the east coast one of product engineer's told us that the reason sunroofs were not a option was a weight concern and he didn't advise installing sunroofs...that being said make sure you ask what kind of warranty comes with any aftermarket sunroof you get installed...hope this helps

thanks jason, my dealership is sedning me to a real awesome shop, he said they will install oversized sunroofs in there sequoi's for people that want huge ones so they havent had any problems.

We are getting one to but since this is gonna be our show car/cruiser/roadtrip mobile. It will suck to get rid of our eclipse conv but I wont miss it, only thing to miss is the roof, not the car its self.

It is. The dealership charged me $1200 installed. It is guaranteed leak-proof and covered for life. Can't beat that deal; just haven't made my appt yet for install. Toyota will also do two in the back, but then you start to get near $4K. I just paid for the front seat sunroof.

What they were talking about is a factory option...not aftermarket...which most dealers can do. but again if you read my post above be carefull with sunroofs

Stupid question: is the sunroof too heavy for the frame to support it? Or is it more of a safety issue in terms of structural stability?

Default What I was told

At the product launch for our region, we were told it was a weight concern...

the toyota bB comes with a factory sunroof. whether or not its an option or standard, i dont know. weight is most likely not a concern.

they want the scions to be "one trim level" so adding a sunroof would be way too much work. if you notice, all of our "accessories" are pretty much bolt-on. if they added a sunroof option, it'd have to be another car.
