Undercar Illumination - whaddya think?
So... I've finally got a couple halfway decent photos of my undercar LEDs. I did these myself, with 5mm blue LEDs spaced at 3" and polycarbonate fresnel lenses for good distribution of light. There are ~80 around the car, wired to a switch in one of the factory knockouts.
The only thing I really need to have this project "done done" is something for the wheel wells, but I haven't come up with a perfect solution yet. I'm emphatic about only showing indirect light - I don't want the source visible, for aesthetic & legal reasons.... Any ideas on a good way to finish the gaps???

I've also got blue CCs under the dash, and those are on the door switches...

I cannot answer the poll as the answer for me is:
I like to see it on show cars and such, but in my area it is illegal to drive with them on and you can only use them while parked and even that is controled.
Now, as far as looks and all, I think it looks good and adds accent to an auto.

Thats a good idea and also streetglo has a forum section just like here at SL where you can post up questions, they also have a tech q-a forum too.. Good luck..
I looked at the kits (like StreetGlows) but none of them gave me a fit that I like. Ex: most of the 'side bars' are 48" long. my sides, integrated into the side skirts, go 54" of the total 56" length. If you look at the front, you'll see they curve around to meet the wheel wells - none of the 'universal' after-market kits will ever achieve this level of fitment. Also, my lenses are integrated into the body panels, like the skirts, to the protrusion is ~1/8". These lamps are INVISIBLE unless you're under the car - solving one of my biggest peeves with the old-school neons.
I don't mean to put anyone down for using a bolt-on, I'm just ****, and like to know I've done it better by hand, somehow, than a factory.
