Default Is It Usually This Hard?

I just spent the last two weeks trying to find a white xA but it is seemingly impossible. I've called literally every Scion dealership in Southern California (cracked open a phone book and went down the list) and been to at least 5 dealership physically because they promised me a car but didn't deliver. I've tried to preorder 3 white xAs coming in the next shipment but all three times the sales person would tell me its available, only to come back 10 minutes later and say the computer didn't update and someone already claimed it.

SHOULD it be this hard? I'm so frustrated at this point that I'm almost ready to buy another car that doesn't come with this much grief but I really want an xA. But at this rate, I don't think I've ever going to get one or at the very least wait a month, which I can't afford since I'm starting summer school next week and need wheels to transport me there.

Is white this hard to get? How long has everyone waited to get their xAs? How many people actually strolled into a dealership, pointed at an xA and drove away hours later? It's really funny because everywhere I called has the 2.0 series available but no other color (god forbid white).

Did you try Longo cause they have pretty much the largest stock in this region when I wanted my Phantom Grey.

I've been to Longo 4 times. They are all out of whites and they're suppoes to call me when they get a new shipment in but I haven't gotten any wind of anything for the entire week.

Before I got my xA, I told the saleswoman to call me when she got a 5speed Polar White hite xA in. I wasn't in a big rush, but I got a call 2 weeks later...

Recently, someone went up to me and told me it was the first time he has ever seen a white xA and that it was "pimp as sh*t." He told me he's been looking to buy an xA and never saw a white one at any dealerships... I guess they are hard to find...

It sounds like you've already done this, but be willing to travel. A few years ago, I drove over two hours to get a truck I wanted. Last week, we drove over an hour to get my wife's xB. I've had people tell me I'm nuts for doing that, but I don't see why. I took a one-time drive and came home with exactly what I wanted. My local Toyota dealer could have ordered an RS 2.0 for us, but who knows how long we would have waited. This way, we came home with it the same day we found it.

Hey Katt,

You need to call up Oliver Santos at Scion of Glendora. That should be in your area. He'll take care of you. Tell him I sent you.

Here's Oliver's profile page on SL

If there's an xA like you want to be found, he'll get it.

LOL Kearny Mesa Toyota had one on the lot for the longest time... Maybe you should try calling the dealerships in San Diego.

Default white xA sighting

Maybe you should try looking farther north (in snow and salt country). White doesn't seem to be as popular in the 'great white north' because it gets dirty so easily.

Smart Scion (Madison, WI) has had one on the lot for at lease a month. I saw it again last night when we drove by.
