Default vanity mirror for passenger

My girlfriend is nagging me about not having a vanity mirror on the passenger's side..anyone know the easiest cheapest replacement? I checked an autoparts store and a walmart but nothing really worked well there. Ideally it would have some kind of thin conver so that when I use it as a visor there's no risk of glare....

My best solution would be to get an extra visor for the xb or find a person selling it. Use the vanity mirror from that one & transfer it to the passenger side visor. Mino cutting or modification will be involved for sure.

If you are not afraid of cutting ure visor...it actually is very simple...buy a small mirror, make a cut in your visor (smaller than the mirror) and then just place the mirror on top of it. You might want to use silicone or a glue gun..and thats it..done..

I did that last year to mine after the GF nagged me for a whole week...

Why not just buy a new xA visor (the newer ones WITH the mirror) and swap them? Looks like just a couple of screws hold that thing up there anyway.

Oh, the new ones have the mirror? Darn them!

From the dealer, or from somewhere else?

Tell your g/f that she looks great no matter what and that a mirror won't be able to reflect her true beauty. It usually works for me.

Hmmm....my 2005 has a mirror on both the driver's and the passanger's visors. That's bonus #2 for me. Fist it was the smaller rear head rests, and now this. I'm glad to see Toyota is making improvements as things progress, but if I had an '04, I'd be kinda ____ed.

Haha...my girlfriend did that too. We were going somewhere and she gets in and pulls the visor down to finish her make-up and then she screams. I was like damn. I suppose it could come in hand to have one.

I have an 05 with the passenger Vanity Mirror but large headrests
Of course my xA also has a VIN that the insurance company insists is an xB

I have an '04 xA and mine didn't have a passenger vanity mirror (I know they changed that for the next model year). I just bought one of those $5 visor clip-on ones from Kmart. Since the passenger visor is usually up or angled when in use, glare isn't a prob, despite there being no cover on the mirror.

as for being "____ed"--well, yeah, the read headrest are pretty big, and I'm missing the mirror...on the other hand I had a car since mid-2004, which I wouldn't have had if I had waited for the 2005, so....

Also it would lack the instant gratification of swinging it down and seeing a mirror, and generally takes one hand when some makeup is better done with two.

I'm sure when the '06 comes out I'll be jealous of any redesigns or improvements it has. That's just the way it goes.

What's wrong with clip-on mirrors?

I was able to buy this same type of mirror at Walmart.

Well the problem with clipon mirrors was I couldnt find one at this one parts store or Walmart...though I just got one at Pep Boys...one of the 2 clips already broke, maybe I wasn't gentle enough, but it looks like it still grabs on ok.

Thanks!
