I was throwing the vsc trac off and check engine lights. Come to find out it was my o2 sensor, the black wire was broken.
I got under there and reconnected it and poof, the check engine light went off, I reset the ECU hoping everything was good but when I started it back up, only the VSC and Trac Off lights stayed on. No other lights are displayed. I am drawing a blank on this.
I searched and couldn't really find anything on this. Does anybody know what it could be when only these 2 lights are displayed?

I'm still drawing a blank on this, ran a diagnostic and nothing came up. I don't have any wiring issues that I know of.
The car is running better than it ever has. This is blowing my mind lol.

Yes, trac off and vsc only lights do not throw any codes. codes are only given for CELs. vsc and trac off light only should be limited to the brake system. Check all your brake lines. Thats what I learned during my research.
Yes, they do. But generic code readers do not display ABS, TRAC, VSC and SRS codes. Use this thread on ClubxB to read the codes by using a paperclip and counting light flashes: http://www.clubxb.com/forums/f28/hel...c-30793-3.html
i recently had the check engine lights and the vsc and trac off light on. it is a retarded vvti cam gear problem. Toyota had a service bulletin for it and if you out of your warranty they wont cover it, but I would complain. I was 1200 miles and 4 months out of warranty...had this same problem and it sure enough was codde p00 something...but its a common problem with pre 06 scion xb. hope this helps.
oh yeah, I complained and they did halves with me on the cost at my local toyota dealership. it was a bit of a hassle but I guess it was worth it. Not really...but I still love the box. unfortunately the problem wasnt recalled...but it had a service bulletin on toyotas website or something. found the info some where. I would get a code reader...that way you can look it up yourself but it sounds like the problem i had cause I had a break job done by a good mechanic locally...so it wasnt the brake lines or anything. it was the vvti cam gear.
