Decided to wash and take the box for a ride today (70 degrees and sunny). While out driving around I noticed the ABS,TRAC OFF and ABS lights were lit up. Got home and shut off the motor and restarted it and lights went out and never came back on. Very strange indeed.
For the heck of it I plugged in my scan tool and there were no codes recorded for the event. What is going on when lights come on but no codes recorded? Could it have been the abs sensors getting wet from washing? I'm confused as heck and hope these lights don't return. Anyone else ever have this happen? Thanks

I'm an xB n00b, but all I can contribute here is that I once heard about a guy hitting a huge puddle at high speeds in his xB and shortly afterwords the lights lit. However, unfortunately, I didn't hear the end of the story (how they were resolved).
As a new xB owner i've not had this happen, but would be interested to hear an answer from someone.

This problem was bugging me to no end so I did some investigating. Test drove again and found out the lights only went on when the cruise control was turned on but they would go out after shutting off the engine and restarting. This got me to thinking that it may be related to the brake lights? I added LED tails and 3rd eye bulb. For the heck of it I swaped back in the stock tails and everything started working normal again. No lights.
Tried it again with just the LED tails but with regular bulb in the 3rd eya and BINGO the cruise works again and no lights. The system must sense that all the stop light bulbs are burned out (no current draw from LEDs). Only logical solution I could come up with and makes sense. I road tested it and lights are staying off now and my cruise works again so problem solved. Woot Woot!!!!

This happed to me last week, drove me nuts too. Sure enough my 3rd brake light bulb was out. And as you said my cruise didn't work and my remote start would not work. Put in a new bulb and it's all good. I wonder if they did this so you would take your ride to the shop.

Would not doubt that in the least! It gave me butterflies in my stomach just thinking about having to do a warranty thing at the dealer. I think I'm gonna carry an extra 3rd brakelight bulb with me just incase it ever burns out while on a trip. I gots to have my cruise working. LOL
