Default Warrenty violation?

:?:

Just wondering the limits of what one can do/add to a new xB without voiding the factory and/or extended warrenties?I`ve gotten some killer ideas from reading the forums and would eventually like to do some of them to my xB but am worried about what it would do to my coverage?I see that TRD makes all kinds of upgrades that are not on the official scion website.Would those be covered by warrenty if installed by licensed toyota techs?

Thanks in advance.

I know if you get wheels bigger that 18" then it voids part of the warrenty

It wouldn't totally void your warranty, but if there were problems that happened due to the 19" rims (tire rubbing on a wire to the point where it was cut, for example), they won't fix it without charging you. But, let's say your air condition stopped working right. They'll fix that under warranty...

There's another topic about this somewhere but for your warrenty to be denied they have to prove that your aftermarket part is responsible for the problem. They just can't say it is but have to prove it and show you. Until then it's against the law for them to deny your warrenty claim.

I have been tot he dealer like 5 times already with all the mods that I have and they have said nothing about it. You gotta remember that scion corp wants us to be different with each and every scion. I was asked the min. I got mine," so you gonna add wheels? " That was from my own sales guy who wanted to see my ride after I got everything on. Just tryt o find a dealer thats cool about it, or email scion corp if a dealership isn't being cool.

if it is trd and installed by toyota you are ok on the warranty. here are some other threads about warranty that i found using the search option in the top left or top right portion of the web page.
